Acuity Brand

Today Acuity presented 3 category of their downlights. Aculux, Gothem and Juno. Juno is the economy version, around $130 with manual adjustment for beam control.

The Gothem downlight is the upgraded version of Juno but not with variety of trim option as Aculux has.

Finally, the Aculux has the most bells and whistles with the perfect light spread angle, variety of trims, housings and ease of adjustment and rotation.

 

 

Aculux has the following:

  • 2", 3" and 4" aperture
  • Nichia LED, 3000 delivered lm
  • 95+ CRI on 2700K and 4000K
  • low profile and IC rated housing
  • variety of selection for wet listing such as, Solite lens, spring loaded, Flangless and trimless options
  • a true 60° and 120° light spread, 45° visual cut-off
  • predesignated aiming angle guide
  • 360° rotation of aperture in the housing.

 

Another interesting product which they presented was an LED strip from Juno brand.

Juno Flexconnect with micro optic

Ideal for cove, grazing, washing and other architectural applications made out of flexible and cutable silicone. It is IP67 rated for interior and exterior applications, 15°, 25° and 45°  symmetric distribution, up to 425 lumens per foot, CCT of 2700K, 3000K and 4000K (90 CRI for 2700K and 3000K). The interesting point on this fixture is, the use of moldable silicon which will never change color. It is priced at $13 per foot.
